Introduction
The Neighbourhood Plan – Have your say about Creaton and its future……..
The Localism Act of 2011 has given local residents the power to shape the future of their village and neighbourhood.
Under the Act we can have a say in housing design, appearance, and location. However it is not just about housing. It can include policies to protect green spaces and heritage assets as well as community facilities, parking, and transport which can all be covered under this Plan.
Perhaps more crucially for Creaton we can have a say about what business facilities and opportunities we can create to attract and retain small businesses in the village.
Once this Neighbourhood Plan is approved, it will be used and referenced by West Northants Council, when determining planning applications for the Parish.

Questionnaire
An important major step at this early stage is to understand the needs of the community, the residents and the businesses in the parish. To this end, a questionnaire will be distributed towards the end of January 2024 for everyone to have their say in how they think the village can meet the challenges of the next decade or so. These challenges are not exclusively to do with housing development but are about maintaining Creaton as a great place to live and work whilst dealing with issues such as climate change, public and private transport, business infrastructure, community assets. Do look out for the questionnaire and fill it in.
The questionnaire will also be available online and live link will be on this website as soon as it is available.
Following the questionnaire, there will be a public meeting in early Spring to discuss the results.
